The Ex Corde Programme: THE CHRIST OF DEATH?

We announce the last ever Ex Corde Lecture:

Maurice Billingsley, FISC

Thursday 15 June 2017, 7.00-8.00

Franciscan International Study Centre, Giles Lane, Canterbury

I invite you to contemplate a painting of the Crucifixion. Not an Old Master but a work by a living artist, Andrés García Ibáñez, born in 1971. This picture was dismissed as blasphemous by critics in Spain, and as irrelevant when exhibited in this country, but such talk is too easy. Ibáñez is challenging his own society, but what can his painting say to us? Do we belive in the Christ of Death or the Christ of Life?

All welcome. For more information call 01227 769349
