17 November, Going viral LI: How does lockdown affect a monastic community?

I hear occasionally from Sister Johanna and other sisters at Minster Abbey. Life has changed for them; earlier in the pandemic they were sewing personal protective gowns for local health care workers: I was naked and you clothed me. But they still carry out their work of praying for us and on our behalf. Despite the trials of the virus God is to be praised and blessed!

This link is to another enclosed community, the Cistercian Sisters at Carnforth, Lancashire. Life has changed for them, and this report from the Independent Catholic News describes some of that.
