30 July, Going Viral LXXXVII: Step 4 Guidance on Worship from Catholic Bishops of England and Wales.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales has updated its  Covid-19 guidance as the country moves into Step 4 of the Government’s Covid-19 Response Roadmap. The document highlights the importance of continuing to create a safe environment in places of worship and taking steps to monitor the situation locally. The emphasis is now the collective endeavour of all involved in Church life to maintain the exemplary good practice which has been exhibited throughout the pandemic in our parishes.  Download here.

In addition, the CBCEW has issued a statement outling that it is not possible at the present time for all of the faithful to attend Mass on a  Sunday  However, it is hoped that it will be possible for Catholics throughout England and Wales to fulfil the Sunday Obligation by the First Sunday in Advent 2021.  Download the statement.
